This half term, Reception children have been reading, Owl Babies by Martin Waddell and Patrick Benson. We have enjoyed retelling the story by learning our very own text map.
The staff have been blown away by the children’s writing. We started off labelling parts of an owl.
We then moved on to pretending to be an Owl Baby and wrote what they may say.
We learnt our own text map and wrote parts of the story. Next week, we will hopefully be writing our own versions of the story.
We have als loved making lots of owl crafts with painting, sponging and puppets. Which is your favourite?
We can’t wait to see owls for real when they visit the school next week.
