Year 6 have been thoroughly exploring the KPS grounds to find natural materials to help them create some beautiful lifelike creatures. We we so impressed with their wonderful ideas and creations. The children really enjoyed this challenge and it was lovely to see them learning outside the classroom and appreciating their surroundings.
As you can see, the children collected a variety of wild flower and foliage to help them create their creatures. It was lovely to see them paired up and exploring the natural science garden.
Once all items were collected within their time limit, the children went about piecing together their resources and trying to see what would work well together. The weather was extremely kind to us all and the children certainly appreciated being outside in the sunshine whilst they learnt together.
On returning to the classroom, Year 6 were given an A4 sheet of card and some glue to complete their challenge. The children were very excited to do this and it was excellent to see them piece their puzzles together.
Year 6 have continued to aspire to do their very best in all areas of learning. We are so proud of how mature, responsible and respectful they have been. They are an absolute credit to Kingsleigh Primary School.
