Year 6 have now conducted their experiments, investigating the density of common household liquids. The children carefully reviewed their plan and their prediction, then carried out their experiment.
They gathered the materials and liquids needed and used a syringe to slowly add each liquid to their container.
They quickly began to notice layers form in their potion!
The most dense liquid sunk to the bottom and the least dense liquid rose to the top. The children compared their results to their predictions and realised many of them had predicted accurately! It was a fun afternoon investigating the density of liquids!
