Incredible Inventors – Year Two

Something incredible happened today in our school!!!

Year Two were meeting in the small hall to discuss the new topic when, all of a sudden, smoke appeared! A man strolled into the room and informed us that he was indeed, Graham Alexander Bell!

We found out many things about this famous man!!!

Mr Bell was born in Scotland. At the age of 12, he created his first invention which was de-husking the wheat grain. he became interested in sound because both his mother and wife were deaf. He then went on to set up a school and actually taught Helen Keller! He worked with Thomas Watson and made the first ever telephone call!

Before returning back to his time machine, Graham Alexander Bell set Year Two a challenge. He asked the children to make their own telephones in class. And so the children did. What fun we had!

Year Two NOW have a further challenge to invent a product that has never been made before. The children will be ‘pitching’ their product to a panel of Dragon’s!

GOOD LUCK YEAR TWO CHILDREN AND SAFE JOURNEY MR BELL!
