As the morning sun rose on a new day at school, year 5 and 6 children were ready for their morning workout.
Due to the earlier gate opening times, Year 5 and 6 children are now invited to engage in a 15 minute workout led by Mr Bainton. This will include various sporting activities and exercises to prepare the children for a busy day of learning. Mr Bainton will arrange for different activities each week and invites the children to come and have some fun.
Cricket has been the focus this week with children given the opportunity to improve their throwing and catching ability as well as develop their bowling and batting skills. The children were clearly enjoying themselves whilst interacting with their peers.
Mr Lumber made an appearance, challenging children with his bowling skills before a short stint in bat. The batting skills highlighted an area for improvement as James (Year 6 child) bowled him out! Mr Lumber stands by his account that, “He was too close!”
If you are in Year 5 or 6 and want to join the fun, Mr Bainton is in the MUGA or large hall from 8.25am every morning.
