The preschool children were set a challenge to look for patterns in their home and out and about. Mrs Cartwright had a look around preschool and found repeated patterns in the small room and the big room. She then set the challenge for the children to explore their own homes. Looking at all the photos that were sent in, it was very clear the children were able to find patterns everywhere.
Someone even took a photograph of their cat who had a lovely stripy pattern!
There were lots of different patterns; spots, stripes, hearts and dinosaurs to name but a few. The children in preschool discovered they had lots of patterns on their clothes.
The children at home and those in preschool did a great job looking for patterns. We are going to do more thinking about patterns, where the children will be creating their own. It will be great to see what sort of patterns they create!
