Physical Activity at Kingsleigh Primary School

At Kingsleigh Primary School, we have the most amazing facilities! The children are so lucky to have a wonderful hall, field and others places and spaces in which to play.

We have: skipping, small world, the adventure trail, ball zone, the field and the MUGA that the children can all use during their lunchtimes.

We are very excited to launch our new Soccer Skills in the MUGA with Coach Bainton! Watch this space for announcements about our morning physical activity…

At our school, we promote healthy minds and bodies. There are an assortment of clubs available to our children. Some of the clubs this term are: football, fitness frenzy, dance, gymnastics and mindfulness.

We use the large and small hall for our indoor lessons. We are fortunate to have these spaces for a whole year group PE! Here are some of our Year Six pupils having their dance lesson with Coach Jenny.

Finally – we have a new Health and Well-Being Team, comprising of both teachers and support staff within our school. We understand that circumstances in life can change and that it is important for us to support the needs of our children on a daily basis.

The team comprises of Mrs Weller, Miss Murgatroyd, Miss Milliner, Miss Allen, Mr Cash and Mrs Bragginton.

We’ll be looking closely into what Health and Well-being means to the children here at Kingsleigh Primary School.
