Year 5 have been enjoying Cricket this week in PE. They have been learning how to bowl and we’ve even seen some fast balls – keeping the wicket-keepers in check! Our batters have dealt well with the speed of said balls and we have even seen a few balls disappear (go over the fence)!
In some PE lessons, Year 5 have been participating in handball, an exciting and fast-paced Olympic Sport. They have been developing essentials skills which have a cross over to other sports, skills such as: quick thinking, fast pace, agility and hand-eye coordination!
This week marks our second week of swimming and we have been channelling our inner Adam Petty! Everyone has shown a real commitment to making improvement at swimming, whether they are taking their first stroke or swimming length after length.
We have been very proud of the way that the children have conducted themselves whilst off the school site and they have continued to uphold the excellent reputation that Kingsleigh Primary School has!
