What a great start to the Summer term!
Thank you for staying safe at home and embracing our new Minibeasts Topic. We have already had so many emails from you showing the lovely activities you are doing. Following Mrs Crane’s Minibeast hunt, Henry and Miles were inspired to look for their own little creatures. Anais built a bug hotel and is waiting for the minibeasts to move in.
Between them they found:
- slugs
- snails
- ants
- worms
- spiders
- centipedes
- flies
- bees
Our creative task this week was to make a minibeast out of anything you wanted! Some great examples came in from you. Can you guess what your friends have made?

Then we had lots of children challenging themselves with the writing task. What superstars we have in Reception! Thank you for sharing all your work.
Miss Willis reminded us to remember all the things we need when we’re writing. I think we can all agree these children remembered:
- To say their sentence
- To sound out their words
- To remember all their sounds
- Not to get confused with tricky words
- To remember finger spaces so we can read it again
- Full stops to finish

Well done Reception. Keep those spirits high and we look forward to seeing you in school soon.
