Saturday afternoon

It really has been an action packed day! Lunch was jacket potato with various toppings which went down well. Then the children finally had a bit of time to chill out in their rooms and share stories from their mornings.

We were soon back at our adventure lines and ready to start a new selection of activities. This afternoon saw lots of new skills being developed and lots of memories being made.

The weather was glorious and the views across the bay were stunning. The children were happy sitting out and supporting each other.  All the  staff have commented on the wonderful behaviour of all the children and how proud we feel to be here spending the weekend with them.

Some groups took to the cliff tops to buggy build.  They worked as a team to learn new knots and construct their buggy before driving it.  After that, the children had a problem to solve involving the farmer, his chicken and his grain.  They worked well as a team and quickly had the problem solved.

Others were tackling the zip wire and lots of children really overcame their fears and were soon flying down the wire. The staff were amazed by the support the children gave to each other.

After all that action we headed off for dinner. We ate and then had a special birthday cake and sing.

After dinner it was a highlight for many of the children; a visit to the shop! Most made light work of spending their pocket money.

This is evening the children are out and around the camp playing ambush. We are confident they will all sleep very well tonight after their action packed day.
