The children have been learning about George – the smartest giant in town. He is a very kind giant who gives away all of his new smart clothes to help animals in need. We have been amazed by the amount of work children have sent in to show us. The story is clearly a big hit for our Year 1 children.
We have had story boards drawn to retell the key events in the story ….
and handwriting practise of all the repetitive phrases in the book.
We especially like this book as it promotes a great value – that of belonging and looking after each other. The giant showed tremendous kindness to all the animals and in return they showed kindness to him by giving him a crown. It made us wonder what you do to show kindness? Maybe you could do something kind today?
