We have recently had a very exciting space rocket crash at our school. First of all, we saw a news report which told us a rocket had been spotted flying towards the area. We looked for a rocket at playtime but couldn’t see one. We then had our lesson interrupted by a mysterious message from an astronaut!
After lunch, we heard the exciting news that a crash d rocket had been spotted in the playground and we went to investigate.
We found a crashed rocket which contained a letter from Astro Aspiration and Rizzy Respect from Planet Belonging.
We also found instructions about how we can work well together within our classroom from Astro and Rizzy.
We are now following these values in our classrooms and are working hard to demonstrate them as part of our new positive behaviour system.
The rocket crash launched our, “Out of this World” topic and the children have been busy thinking about Space in their play, with small world toys and in our role play areas.
Next, we will be writing our own information book pages about space to help Astro learn more about our Solar System!
