This week in Year 3 the children were lucky enough to have a visit from local ceramicist Suzette Knight.
She came in and worked with the children across the four classes and helped them build their own Roman pots.
She modelled hand building a base and then using coils to build up the sides
In the style of the Romans, the children added patterns, handles and faces to their pots.
In the afternoon, a few children who had shown a special talent for pot making were chosen to make a pot out of stoneware, Suzette will then fire these in her kiln at home!
