As part of our topic ‘Scrumdiddlyumptious,’ Year 4 are learning about the best ways to keep your body fit and healthy. We have looked at diet, good nights sleep, lots of water and how food travels through our digestive system.
Now, we are focussing on strengthening our body and being as fit as we can. During P.E. sessions, we have taken part in lots of different workouts. We have looked at aerobic workouts, Zumba, high intensity workouts for children and also yoga.
The children have learnt that yoga develops a healthy mind and that aerobic workouts focus on strengthening muscles. Over the next couple of weeks, the children will be designing their own child friendly workouts. You may be lucky enough to see some of these amazing routines during Year 4’s assembly at the end of this term.
