Year 4 have been set the challenge to make a dish and write a recipe for a cuisine from a different culture. So far, the children have been very inventive and it has been lovely to see such a variety of dishes being made. We thought it was a great way to get all the family involved and learn about food from other cultures.
Some of the dishes which have been made are; buttermilk chicken curry, spaghetti bolognaise, Mexican wraps, tacos and fajitas.
It has been lovely to listen to the children discuss their experience from making and eating the dishes. Some now have a new favourite food. Many more are still to come. We can’t wait to see which other dishes are made over the next couple of weeks.
