Our class pages have been adapted to support you as much as possible at this time. The content for English and Maths will be updated daily and the grid below will be updated weekly with lessons to support the children with what they would be learning if they were in school.
Below is a link to the grid as a word document so that you can open it and click on the hyperlinks.
Year 3 Home Learning Week beginning 29th March
Reading: Children should read for thirty minutes every day. This might involve reading on their own, reading with an adult, listening to stories or discussing what they have read. Children should read a range of fiction and non-fiction.
English: If the whole class are isolating then daily English videos will be provided with follow up activities. If individuals within a bubble are self-isolating they should work through the English book that has been provided for them by the school.
Spelling, Punctuation and Grammar: They can access Espresso online and use a username and password to access all areas. https://www.discoveryeducation.co.uk/what-we-offer/discovery-education-espresso Username: student10836 Password: school
Maths: Each day the White Rose Maths Hub will be publishing daily videos and work sheets (with answers) which the school have paid for so that all parents can access. The resources are excellent and we regularly use them in school so the children are very familiar with the content and style. The video can be found by following the link below (there is one for four days of the week) and then the questions and answers will be shared on this website daily. The content will be the same as the content their peers are covering in class.
Children have completed this term’s content and in school we will be using the time to consolidate the skills that have been covered. Children working at home can access the videos of content that we have covered over this term and revise any that they need to in order to become secure.
They should also access their TTRS accounts and continue to develop their mental maths skills.
Below is a suggested timetable of what your week might look like. This is not set in stone but is meant as a support for those that want to use it.
