Reception have had an amazing week learning new bike skills.
They were first introduced to all the different parts of a bike.
The wheels, handle bars, breaks and pedals.
They listened really carefully to the instructions on how to pick up their bike and hold it properly.
The children then had a go at following the leader, which they were brilliant at!
Then they became different animals to create different footsteps to help them move on the bikes.
Mice for little steps, frogs, pushing off with both feet at the same time and dinosaurs for stamping fast feet.
The children loved creating the animal sounds as they moved along.
The children spent day two practising pushing off with their feet and seeing how far they could go without putting their feet down. The children excelled at this!
Everyone had a great time, they can’t wait to see what they will learn at their next session!
