This week we were challenged to write a narrative based on The Clockwork Tower, a video on the Literacy Shed. It’s a lovely story so watch it if you get a chance!
We started by writing a setting description using the criteria given to us for our slow write. We used some interesting personification and expanded noun phrases to describe what we could see.
We then went on to think about describing the main character in the story, a ballerina who loved to watch the colourful world outside her clock tower. Again we used some great language to really capture the reader’s attention.
We spent the rest of our learning in English this week to continue writing the narrative, carefully selecting vocabulary to create some really beautiful stories.
Well done Year 5 and 6!
