This week in Reception we have been thinking all about Super Worm by Julia Donaldson. We have been reading the story and have learnt our ow text map to help us to remember it. We have managed to do some super writing all about Super Worm, thinking in particular about how he is a good friend.
We have had great sensory fun playing with out very own worms (red spaghetti).
We also enjoyed trying to make the longest worm we could. It took a lot of team work!
Finally we started to think about the tunnels the worms make in the soil. We were inspired by some art work and tried to create our own.
First we had to draw some wavy lines in pencil and fill them with a rainbow shape, (luckily we have been practising our curly c letter formation so we were prepared!)
Then we carefully coloured them. We are really pleased with the results. What do you think?
