We are so proud of the work we have received from Year 6 this week. It can be a challenge to do your learning at home rather than in the classroom and yet, the Year 6’s really have done a great job with their learning.
In English, they have started a unit of work looking at explanation texts. They have thought carefully about the features of an explanation text, completed a cloze procedure and have discovered how ‘The Classroom Unclutterer Machine’ works. Here are some lovely examples of work we have seen.
We have been super impressed with how the children have approached their White Rose Maths learning. It has been great receiving emails with questions about Maths form children keen to further their own understanding.
We have also enjoyed hearing of the children’s reading experiences this week. Not only is everyone enjoying our year group book ‘The White Giraffe’ but it has also been nice to see photos of children enjoying their own choice of reading book too. Don’t forget to let us know if you have any recommendations!
Challenges this week have included toilet roll challenges in PE, drawing challenges in Art and a New Year’s Resolution focus for well-being. It has been fun to see so many POP figure designs. Keep up the good work next week Year 6 and we can’t wait to hear from even more of you!
