After a two year delay Kingsleigh Sports Days returned with not one but five sports days with the theme of each sports day was children taking part in activities that will be in the Commonwealth Games which is being held in Birmingham later this year and also celebrating our Lionesses amazing achievements so far at the Euros.
Our events included;
- Standing long jump
- Class Sprints
- Rugby 7s
- Obstacle courses
- Tug of war
All of our children starting from our incredible preschool superstars all the way through to our incredible Y6 athletes showed fantastic effort and teamwork in all of their events! During our sports days we also had our sprint finals being held where our 8 fastest boys and girls in each year group got to race against each other with gold, silver, and bronze medals up for grabs. All of the races were extremely close and it was fantastic to see our amazing sprinters in action!
Finally, we would like to take this opportunity to firstly thank all of our parents during the sports days for consistently encouraging their children but also cheering on all of their classmates and following our respect barrier guidelines at all times! Finally, we would like to thank all of our amazing Sports Ambassadors and Year 5 sports leaders who have supported us throughout all of our Sports Days and made each sports day so special for all of their year groups. They are all a credit to our school and we are extremely proud of them.
We hope you all enjoyed the return of sports days and lets see if we can be even bigger and better next year!
