We have been really impressed by the work we have received for Year 3’s home learning this week, clearly demonstrating what a great start so many children have made.
For English, the children have planned and written some fantastic city and countryside descriptions based on the Literacy Shed’s video Mega City. Their writing has included some really thoughtful adjectives and wonderful personification.
The children have been using retrieval skills to draw the characters Mildred and Maud from The Worst Witch.
They have also used information from the story to make thoughtful predictions. As we read on next week they can find out just how close their predictions were!
We have been following White Rose Maths to solve multiplications and divisions, including multiplying and dividing by tens numbers.
Members of Year 3 have also done some great research on rocks linked to our Science, and Prehistoric Britain linked to our history topic.
As well as all of that, they have been on Time Tables Rock Stars, setting themselves star jump challenges for PE, trying and describing new fruits and vegetables, and learning the French months of the year.
We are so impressed by the progress our workers are already making and look forward to seeing them progress even more in the coming weeks.
