Year 3 – Stingrays

Years 3 Home Learning

If you are looking for ways to support your children with their learning at home, there are a number of things that you can do and websites that you can use.
The most important thing is that children read. This might be them reading to you or on their own, listening to stories being read to them, reading stories online and just talking about and loving books.
Give children opportunities to write for a wide range of purposes; shopping lists, film reviews, diaries and stories etc. Encourage them by letting them write in different pens and pencils and using different papers. Let the children see you as writers and see the use of writing in the real world.
Children in Key Stage 2 need to become confident in recalling all of their times tables facts. The best way to do this is through flashcards (which they can make for themselves with just paper and pen) and quickfire questions e.g. see how many they can answer in one minute and then try and beat their score.
Below, are a selection of websites that will support the children with their learning.
