Pastoral Care


Nurture group provides support for children with social and emotional needs. Our Nurture staff run small group sessions to proactively address issues such as self esteem, social skills, social communication, bereavement, play skills and supporting young carers.

Emotional Literacy Support Assistants (ELSA)

The role of the ELSA focuses on helping children who need individualised emotional support. ELSAs provide individual or small group sessions to support children with issues such as anger management, awareness of feelings, self esteem, social communication difficulties and friendship skills.

Parent Support Workers

We have two Parent Support Workers based in school who are experienced and trained to work directly with parents. The PSW’s provide personalised support for families by offering help, guidance and signposting to relevant services in areas such as:

  • Attendance
  • Behaviour
  • Divorce
  • Domestic Violence
  • Health
  • Finance and Housing
  • Welfare and Bereavement

Parent Practitioner

Our parent practitioner works with parents to develop their parenting skills and strategies in order to support their children at home.
