Kingsleigh Primary School

Our Directors

Our Directors (ID 1395)

The role of school directors is crucial to the success and development of our school. The Board of Directors are responsible for overseeing the school's performance and supporting its ongoing progress. While the term 'Governors' is commonly used in other schools, we are known as 'Directors' within our school community.

Our primary objective is to ensure the best possible outcomes for all pupils. We achieve this by drawing on our collective expertise, securing the necessary resources and facilities, and working closely with the Headteacher, staff, and pupils to uphold high standards and drive continuous improvement.

As a governing body, we are dedicated to promoting and maintaining the school's ethos, which is encapsulated in our vision: 'Where everyone can be great’. Directors play an active role in helping the school provide the highest quality education by regularly monitoring all aspects of school life. This includes evaluating leadership and management, tracking pupil progress, and ensuring the school's finances are used effectively.

Becoming a school Director is a fulfilling way to contribute to the future of the school and the wider community. It requires commitment and a genuine passion for education. Directors are appointed based on their skills and experience to strengthen the governing body.

Directors are often present at school events such as parents' evenings and other gatherings. Pupils may also see us during school visits as we engage with the school environment to better understand its day-to-day operations.
