School Uniform

We believe that coming to school in full uniform gives children a sense of pride, identity and belonging. The uniform policy should be followed exactly as stated, with items bearing the school logo being purchased from CJI Clothing.

Kingsleigh uniform can be bought from CJI Clothing Ltd (545-547 Wimborne Rd, Bournemouth BH9 2AP – 01202 249244). The uniform can be purchased either in store or online.

Daily Uniform

  • White polo shirt (KS1) / white shirt (KS2)
  • Kingsleigh logo sweatshirt / cardigan
  • Dark grey or black trousers / skirt / shorts / pinafore dress
  • Kingsleigh school tie (KS2)
  • Appropriate and sensible black, flat shoes. Trainers can be worn, providing they are all black and with a black sole. No open toed shoes for children are permitted.
  • Plain coloured socks / tights (e.g. grey, navy, black, white)
  • Blue and white gingham dress in the summer term (optional)
  • A coat when it is appropriate for the weather conditions on that day
  • Sun hat during hot weather

PE Kit

  • Kingsleigh logo Red polo shirt
  • Kingsleigh logo Red zip-up hoodie
  • Navy / black joggers
  • Navy / black shorts
  • Trainers

When children have swimming lesson they will need a swimming costume (one piece for girls), swimming hat and goggles.

Preschool Uniform

  • Grey jogging bottoms/ leggings
  • Red polo shirts
  • Kingsleigh logo sweatshirt/ cardigan
  • Velcro shoes/ trainers
  • Black/ grey shorts in the summer
  • Appropriate footwear such as a pair of black shoes, trainers or plimsolls.
  • In the winter children should have a pair of wellies, hat and gloves and in the summer a sunhat.

Book Bags

Kingsleigh branded book bags are available, and these can purchased online and are an optional extra to our school uniform.

Hair, make up and jewellery

Long hair must be always tied up and make up should not be worn by pupils. Children should avoid extreme haircuts/colour. Children should not wear nail polish or acrylic/false nails to school. Children should maintain short nails to protect them and others from injury during active learning and PE lessons. Children should not wear Jewellery to school. Plain stud earrings may be worn on days when pupils do not have PE Lessons. Parents/carers of pupils with newly pierced ears (less than 6 weeks) should discuss arrangements for PE with their class teacher.

Named Uniform

Please ensure all uniform is clearly named in order that lost property can be returned to its owner.

Pre-Loved Clothing

 Pre-loved clothing will be available outside of year groups at the end of each half term.  Please feel free to check for any lost uniform or take any un-named items.
